Anna and I joined GWRRA in the fall of 2003.  At the time, we were both volunteering with our local rescue squad; Tim as a Paramedic and Anna as an EMT-IV Tech.  In our regular jobs Tim works as an Engineering Technician for the Department of Defense and Anna works from home as a Medical Coder Lead Auditor.

We were Chapter Newsletter Editors in 2004 and volunteered for the position of Chapter Educators from 2005 to 2010.  We wore a variety of different hats.  From 2007 to 2008 we were the Maryland District Motorist Awareness Division Coordinators.  We also held the position of Region B CPR/FA Coordinators from 2007 to 2010 and Maryland Senior District Educators from 2008 to 2012.  We were Region B Assistant Rider Educators from 2009 to 2010 then became Region B Rider Educators for the next three years.  From 2010 to 2013 we also were Maryland District CPR/FA Coordinator/Trainers.  In the summer of 2013 we were appointed as Assistant Directors of Rider Education.  During Wing Ding 37 we added the position of Dean of Rider Education and Safety for GWRRA University to our hat rack.

We were among the first Maryland class to complete the Officer Certification Program in 2010 and were honored with a Rider Education Merit Award at Wing Ding 31, the Maryland District Director’s Award at Winter Thing 2012 and the Rider Education Director’s Award of Honor at Wing Ding 37.  We both are Senior Master Tour Riders in the Rider Education Levels Program.

Tim is a Medic First Aid CPR/FA Instructor Trainer as well as a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach.  He is a Master University Trainer with the Gold Wing University and a GWRRA Riding Course Master Instructor Trainer for the Rider Education Program.  Tim is also the lead instructor for the GWRRA Overseas Training Division.  Email: orangewing@md.metrocast.net
